THE RUN-DOWN: Here's What You Need To Know About Trump's Top 5 Possible Nominees

It is great for President Donald Trump to have so many excellent choices as his nominee to fulfill the retiring seat of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy with another ‘true’ conservative.

From my ‘quick’ study, I would recommend Justice Amul Roger Thapar, age 49, be elevated from the 6th District Court from Appeals as nominated to SCOTUS. - by Oscar Y. Harward

Professor Brian Fitzpatrick of Vanderbilt Law School describes Thapar as “very Scalia-like and Thomas-like.””

On May 24, 2007, Thapar was nominated by President George W. Bush for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky seat vacated by Joseph Martin Hood.[6] The American Bar Association rated Thapar Unanimously Well Qualified, with one committee member abstaining.[7] Thapar was confirmed by the Senate on December 13, 2007[8] and received his commission on January 4, 2008.[9] His service was terminated on May 25, 2017, upon his elevation as a Circuit Judge to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amul_Thapar
